CCO 2014 Award for Outstanding Graduate in Services

Yaroslav Pasique, Canadian Law Enforcement Training College

After immigrating to Canada with his family from the Ukraine, Yaroslov enrolled at the Canadian Law Enforcement Training College to fulfill his dream of becoming a police officer. After graduating from the Police Foundations program in 2013, he is now going through the steps of being hired by the York Regional Police. College Director Roberto Hausman wrote: “Not only did he excel academically, but he has had a continuously super positive attitude and has contributed to society throughout his training with us by volunteering at every possible event where he was asked to volunteer.” Yaroslav currently gives back to his community by participating in numerous events and volunteering with Big Brother and Big Sisters, the Humane Society and the Ajax Town Hall.
